Here are some more butterflies we have found on our land. The little whitish colored ones are very plentiful.
These are not as plentiful, but there are still quite a few of them!

Semi-pioneering, home educating family of three living on 7 acres in the MidWest. These are the mom's thoughts/ramblings about our life, spirituality and whatever else pops up. :) Please feel free to post comments and/or questions. I will get to them as soon as I can. We would love to hear from anyone who is reading along here.

Ummmm. When I lived in Pennsylvania in the mid-70's, my husband and I and our 3 children lived in a 12x60 foot mobile home set in a pasture field across from my parents-in-law's farm house. We were in rural western PA between Erie and Pittsburgh (in a town called Cochranton). I planted a wonderful vegetable garden. And one day I got SO EXCITED! I ran up to my in-law's house to tell them excitedly about the beautiful swarm of white butterflies that were flying around in my garden. Both Rex and LaRue had a real good laugh at my expense, because THEY knew, even if the ignorant city-girl from California didn't, that those "white butterflies" were the transformed icky fat white worms that had been stealthily sneakily eating up the heart of my broccoli and brussels sprouts!!! (I still think they're pretty, I just happen to know now that they are NOT my friends!!!)
Yeah...we've been told they are not "friendly" butterflies. But they are pretty...and...plentiful! Ouch!
We have not been able to do a garden, so I guess we can just "enjoy" them for now! LOL
